Other Holidays

Sukkot
Every year Hillel builds a Sukkah in the middle of campus. Through the Book-a-Sukkah program, student clubs can reserve the Hillel Sukkah for group meetings, events, or just for group lunch. The Sukkah serves as a central location for Jewish life during the holiday.

Chanukkah
Hillel partners with the Chabad at Emory for a public lighting of the Menorah. Since the holiday generally falls around finals, the menorah lives outside the library so students can enjoy the lighting as a study break.

Purim
On the weekend of Purim, the Greek Hillel Council throws a party for Emory students, complete with Megillah readings, costumes, and dancing.
